Spektr Group is pleased to share another successfully completed service operation — this time involving two pilot-operated Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs) delivered for scheduled maintenance.
Reason for Maintenance:
The valves were brought in to replace internal seals and perform pressure testing to verify performance and sealing integrity in line with operational and safety standards.
Findings and Observations:
Upon disassembly, slight corrosion was found on internal components of both valves.
One unit was generally in good condition, aside from the observed corrosion.
However, the second PSV showed significant internal corrosion, a damaged nozzle, and a compromised FTC (Field Test Connection) port — requiring corrective actions beyond standard maintenance.
Repairs & Replacements:
- Corrosion was fully cleaned from internal parts of both Pressure Safety Valves.
- All internal seals were replaced with new ones to restore sealing performance.
- The damaged nozzle was replaced, and the FTC port was repaired to ensure full functionality.
- Both valves were carefully reassembled and prepared for testing.
Inspection & Quality Control:
A pressure test was conducted at 1315 PSI to validate performance and sealing reliability.
Both valves successfully passed, confirming full compliance with safety and operational standards.
Biz Spektr Group, we remain committed to delivering high-quality technical services with precision, speed, and care.
